High-Flying Rider Larry Edgar’s New Old Skool Pro BMX Is Supported by First-of-Its-Kind BMX Tech

BMX tour life can be tough. For Vans’ team rider and consecutive BMX Pro Cup champion Larry Edgar, his high-flying antics require ultimate confidence that he’ll be supported when landing on sharp metal pedals or bailing on concrete. Fortunately, for Larry and BMX riders everywhere, Vans is proud to release the Old Skool Pro BMX in Larry Edgar’s very own black and yellow colorway. 

At the shoe’s core is Vans’ Wafflecup BMX outsole technology, specifically designed to deliver a superior combination of pedalfeel, support, and durability. This iteration has been upgraded with Vans’ proprietary PopCush, a brand-new foam recipe, meticulously tuned for impact protection, cushioning, and custom energy return for every type of riding. Reinforced underlays in high-wear areas, otherwise known as Vans’ Duracap technology, adds unrivaled durability and prolongs the life of the shoe.

Inspired by a hand-drawn graphic of WWII bomber plane nose art, Larry’s snapback hat were designed side-by-side the Old Skool Pro BMX with a lightning bolt icon meant to embody the rider’s motto: “Live Fast, Land Flat.”  

A Corona, California native, Larry has been leading the way in progression since he started riding more than a decade ago at 13 years old, and shows no sign of letting up. His powerful riding and deep bag of tricks translates across the board: from a crazy ground game – including bunny hop 180 whips, overclick’d bunny hop turndown, and even a triple whip or 360 whip-o-fakie — to his ability to air higher than anyone else. This has allowed him (no pun intended) to stand above the rest.

To put it into perspective, Larry has won every high air event at every Vans BMX Pro Cup—he is literally untouchable. He’s secured the Pro Cup overall champion title not once, but twice, and has a NORA Cup for Reader’s Choice Rider of The Year. 

Larry knows the value and importance of a shoe that can perform under gnarly conditions, and still look good. Live fast, land flat. That’s all there is to it.

This year we will be back to join the Le Tour De Langkawi 2020 event – so exited.
We will have a tour all over peninsular Malaysia started with Kertih, Terengganu on the 8th February (Saturday), after that we will be at KLCC, Kuala Lumpur on the 9th February (Sunday). Next stop is Genting Highland, followed by Bandar Meru Jaya, Ipoh. After that we will head up to Alor Setar, Kedah and last stop we will be in Pulau Langkawi, Kedah.

This year we will have an extra event which is BMX Flatland Competition at Pulau Langkawi! The competition will happen on the 14th February 2020 (Friday) at 10am. for more info please contact 0126841441 (iwan)
