VANS SLIP-ON BMX BY DENNIS ENARSON
Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, is excited to unveil the Slip-On BMX by Dennis Enarson, a finely tuned offering that is just as versatile as the rider himself.
Dennis’ diverse style demands a shoe that can do it all. Together with Vans, he applied his aesthetic to the Slip-On BMX, created specifically with BMXers in mind. The Slip-On BMX features Vans’ hybrid cupsole and vulcanized Wafflecup BMX technology, which provides unrivaled support and durability without compromising precious pedalfeel.
“From the beginning, I knew this shoe had to be something durable to shred in, yet fashionable enough to wear with your favorite outfit—and that’s exactly what we made,” Dennis said.
“Dennis married the reliability and strength of the Slip-On BMX with an elevated look and feel, bridging performance and functionality with style. His slip-on comes to life in a synthetic distressed leather upper in rich pewter that features his debossed custom artwork on the heel—a graphic inspired by one of his tattoos. The shoe is rounded out with black foxing and Dennis’ motto, “Peace, Love, Positivity,” on the sockliner, which also carries over into a broader Vans x Dennis Enarson apparel offering.
“Peace, love, positivity is an affirmation I always have in my head whenever things get stressful or tough,” Dennis added. “Those words always remind me of what life is all about.”
The Standard Versa Hoodie in gray is a 290gm water-repellent fleece pullover with left chest and back detailing featuring Dennis’ custom mandala artwork, peace sign and motto. In addition, the Dennis Enarson Off The Wall Tee in black features retro graphics, peace sign and “Vans Original Since 1966” messaging.”
Another first of its kind, built with BMX in mind.
In some ways, riders like Dennis Enarson are a dying breed. You have street riders and transition riders, trick riders and flow riders, burly riders and technical riders. Very rarely does a single rider encompass all of those things, but thats Dennis. Hes the only rider in history to be nominated for four NORA Cups in the same year-Street, Dirt, Ramp, and Video Part-and off the bike, hes just as busy. Hes started his own brand, produced a full-length video, organized events, and produced his own podcast. Plus, hes a damn nice guy. The best all-around rider in the world also happens to be driven to create good things for the community and BMX.
This season, Dennis has teamed up with Vans for a custom colorway in the new BMX Slip-On. Dennis wanted the support, durability and pedalfeel that the WAFFLECUP BMX construction provides with premium materials to offer an elevated look and feel. Along with DURACAP upper reinforcement, tonal debossed art on the heel, and peace, love, positivity printed on the sockliner, the Dennis Enarson BMX Slip-On offers maximum performance benefits with Denniss timeless style.
-VANS WAFFLECUP BMX CONSTRUCTION -A first of its kind in BMX, specifically designed to deliver the best combination of pedalfeel, support, and durability.
-UNRIVALED DURABILITY -Reinforced DURACAP underlays in high-wear areas add unrivaled durability to prolong the life of each shoe.
-CLASSIC GUM RUBBER GRIP -The Van Doren Gum Rubber Compound, made of a rubber that offers grip and support, is what attracted BMXers to Vans in the first place. This is the Sole of BMX.

Vans X SE Bikes
Vans the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, has become known for its collaborations with like-minded leaders in the action sports industry. This season, the brand partners with legendary BMX brand SE Bikes for a collection that celebrates bike life culture and honors both brands’ legacies.
In 1970, at just 14 years old, Scot Breithaupt organized the first ever BMX race in a vacant lot in Long Beach, California. The rest, as they say, is history, as Scot became one of the main forces in growing the sport. Seven years later, he founded Scot Enterprises, and SE Racing was born. Best known for its “PK Ripper” bike, designed in 1979 and named after BMX legend Perry Kramer, SE has evolved along with the sport, innovating and introducing new bike styles.
The Vans x SE Bikes collection brings SE branding to Vans’ Style 36 silhouette—the 1978 forefather of today’s Old Skool, which debuted the brands now iconic Sidestripe. Available in three different colorways, the shoe features reflective checkerboard detailing and sidewall art that calls out some of SE’s most popular bikes. For little riders who prefer to ditch the laces, the collection also features a Velcro version of the modern Old Skool in a throwback racing red and plume colorway available in toddler sizes.
Leading the apparel collection is a graphic tee in the same colorway, featuring a signature SE and Vans “Off The Wall” collaboration logo. The coordinating Mini Ward Cross Body bag keeps riders’ hands free, while a reflective 3M checkerboard stripe below the zipper brings the style. The same reflective checkerboard motif carries over on a long sleeve ringer tee and camper hat, while a fleece short, long sleeve knit shirt and pullover hoodie complete the look.
Vans Offers WaffleCup Tech in a Slip-On for the First Time Ever with the Slip-On BMX by Dakota Roche
Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, listened to the BMX community and enlisted insight from Vans team rider Dakota Roche to help build the Slip-On Pro BMX, the first-ever Vans Slip-On to offer Wafflecup BMX technology.
Considered one of the hardest working BMX riders out there today, Dakota’s unrelenting drive for street riding has bolstered his professional career and garnered many accolades over the past ten years. In need of a shoe that stands up to his riding, Dak worked with Vans on the Slip-On BMX Pro, featuring a striking two-tone black and white colorway with a black outsole.
“The Slip-On Pro has been my go-to shoe for riding, skating and chilling for some time now. In my mind, the only thing that could make it even better was the tried and true Wafflecup BMX sole,” Dak said. “My dreams came true in the form of a very stylish shoe that can take a heavy beating in the streets but also pair well with your fancy dinner kit.”
Dak also lent his artistic talents to the silhouette, showcasing his original drawings on the heel and tongue: “It’s an absolute honor to have my artwork incorporated in these bad boys. The sun is always a reminder to me to push through trying times, so it just made sense to subtlety tie it in.”
Designed with the BMXer in mind, Vans Wafflecup BMX technology is a first of its kind for BMX, providing unrivaled support and durability without sacrificing pedalfeel. The Slip-On BMX Pro also features a rubber toecap for added protection and DURACAP reinforced underlays to prolong the life of the shoe.
Dak’s creativity carries over into several everyday-wear apparel pieces, including a short sleeve pocket tee in antique white and a classic black snapback hat. Each feature his hand drawn artwork. In addition, Dak simultaneously released a curated Vans Spotify playlist, which includes songs and artists that he’s kept close to his heart over the years: “Some emotional, some motivating, and some inspiring—something for every mood,” Dak adds.
Dakota Roche grew up surfing, skating and riding BMX in Huntington Beach. With few local trails to hone his BMX skills, Dak was drawn to street riding. His tireless work ethic propelled him to worldwide attention early in his career, and more than a decade later, he’s amassed a heavy collection of outstanding video parts, earning him the respect of the BMX community.

CSR Project for Kuantan BMX Scene
This is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project that fully sponsored by Vans Malaysia for Kuantan BMX community.
We had a discussion with Vans Malaysia last few month regarding this project. We choose Kuantan, Pahang because we can see that the BMX scene in Kuantan is growing and very active but they dont have a skatepark to ride.
So we make this initiative to help them to build an ‘A-Frame’ obstacle in a new area so that they can make that area active with riding activities and from there the local council or any other private company can see it and might build a new proper skatepark for them.
The ramp is located at Taman Teruntum Mini Zoo, very near to Teluk Cempedak. It has a very nice forest area and also near to the beach. The area is very easy to access and its open to everybody to ride there.
Why we choose to to build an ‘A-Frame’ obstacle is because this obstacle is easy to ride and we can build it fast since we have only one day to build it.
We hope that this effort could make Kuantan BMX scene grow bigger and better. Looking forward for more great BMX riders that come from Kuantan.
And we hope that Kuantan BMX community will keep on advocate a lot of riding activities like what they always did.
Thanks to Munir from Vans Malaysia for approving this project. Big thanks to Sunny (Ramp Master) for all the effort and hard work in building this ramp. Your cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Thanks to Abang Mus and Imran from Kuantan BMX Community for all the help to make this project happen.
Thanks to all the crews, Botax, Matno Penang, Boy Sarawak, Mack Stures, Syafiq and Omar for helping out in everything that we need.
And last but not least thanks to all Kuantan BMX community for the support and help that has been given.
We hope that we can do this kind of project again next time.
